Honestly I don't see how they just leave you to go home since there is risk of infection. I've googled and have actually found similar stories and they've managed to stay on bed rest and get more fluid however still not enough, this particular story she ended up giving birth (can't remember what gestation) but baby survived, she went against the doctors, the baby had a long road ahead as far as development.

Less than 48 hours I had very little fluid. scan on the first day I had all my fluid but my cervix was only 0.5 (it was 3 at 10 weeks). However I had turned up to hospital in a really bad way, turns out I had an infection and they still don't know what infection but pumped me full off antibiotics.

I am praying that this is small rough patch in what will be a wonderful life with your little baby, hospitals are awful in regards to these situations. As long as your waters haven’t broken your baby still has a chance, bed rest and drink lots of water is all I can suggest. I did everything I could to keep him in there but.well it obviously didn’t end well. I bled for two weeks before my waters suddenly broke, and my baby passed away as he was being delivered - it was worst moment of my life and no one helped, apparently they couldn’t because he wasn’t ‘viable’. He grew happily in my womb, a perfect little son, I had a closed cervix and everything else was good. We are so surprised that you haven’t miscarried yet’. I started bleeding at 13 weeks, diagnosed with a giant blood clot under my placenta and was constantly at the hospital - my baby was thriving despite the situation and the hospital basically told me ‘the SCH is too large, your baby will die, we just don’t know when. I personally haven’t had amniotic fluid loss before but my situation was similar and it didn’t have a happy ending.
